Arts Education
Most of elementary and middle schools in our communities have no art teacher, no art rooms, and very few opportunities to create or experience art. With volunteer labor and limited funding for arts programs, Healthy Communities Coalition strives to coordinate and provide staff to help Lyon, Mineral and Storey County area youth experience the arts.
___$10 Bronze sponsor will assist with the purchases art supplies for one child in our school arts residencies.
___$25 Silver sponsor will fund one child in our school arts residencies and assist the school with supplies.
___$100 Gold sponsor will fund five children in our school arts residencies and assist the school with supplies.
___$500 Platinum sponsor will fund two classrooms in our school arts residencies and purchase all supplies.

Food Bank
The mission statement for the Food Bank is "Freely we share." In January, 2010 alone, Dayton Food Bank shared with 609 individuals and gave out 250 boxes of food. This is nearly triple the numbers served in 2008. The Dayton Food Bank is funded by limited funds from Lyon County and State Distributions. During these tough economic times when our citizens need us the most your kind donation can make all the difference.

___$25 Silver sponsor will provide 100 meals.
___$100 Gold sponsor will provide 400 meals.
___$500 Platinum sponsor will provide 2,000 meals.

Prevention Education:
Healthy Communities funds seven Stand Tall teams throughout Lyon and Storey counties. The peer to peer prevention education teams organize and lead school-wide campaigns and presentations to educate their peers on the whole spectrum of substance abuse, including tobacco, alcohol, prescription, and illicit drug abuse throughout the school year. They also attend yearly leadership conferences to learn more about the subject from area experts, and to strategize about how to reach the most people with messages about healthy lifestyles and sober living. The groups reach over 10,000 students per year.
___$10 Bronze sponsor will purchase supplies for the prevention teams.
___$25 Silver sponsor will fund group projects.
___$100 Gold sponsor will provide a scholarship for one youth attend leadership camp.
___$500 Platinum sponsor will send a team of five youth to leadership camp.

Resource Bank:
The “Resource Bank” was established for students who need financial assistance obtaining items their families cannot provide, including class lab and equipment fees for science, math, art, culinary arts, woodshop, sports, and physicals, and uniforms for gym and choir.
___$10 Bronze sponsor will assist a high school student in getting their required P.E. uniform.
___$25 Silver sponsor will assist a student with labs fees.
___$100 Gold sponsor will assist with a much needed doctors visit for two or more students to allow them to participate in extra curricular sports.
___$500 Platinum sponsor will assist five students in achieving their education goals by taking required courses at school.
