What is HCC?
The Healthy Communities Coalition (HCC) of Lyon and Storey Counties is a grass roots- based partnership that serves eight northern Nevada rural areas: Dayton, Fernley, Hawthorne, Mound House, Silver Springs, Virginia City, Silver City, and Yerington. We work with local agencies to provide these rural communities with a more comprehensive system of health and wellness resources. Learn more>
What types of services are available in my community?
Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties (HCC) serves several communities. Through our community partners we’ve formed a network to provide these rural areas with health and wellness resources they could otherwise not access, such as recreational programming, health and social services, and mental health services. How can I help my community through HCC?
HCC membership and sponsorship is open to all individuals, businesses, groups, and community agencies interested in promoting healthy communities in Lyon and Storey Counties. Voting privileges are open to all individuals and agencies that attend two regular coalition meetings per calendar year and complete a membership form. There are also endless opportunities to help your community, make new friends, and sharpen your skills, with volunteer positions.
